Alef Estate shared its experience of switching to Electronic Data Intercnange

Alef Estate Company switched its work flow into online-format in spring 2020. About 1000 their counterparties integrated to the process of digitalization together with Alef Estate. Anna Levchenko, the Alef Estate financial director told on the open webinar how the Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) enabled to organize and to accelerate many business processes.

The main advantages of such innovation include: cash flow acceleration by several times, cutting time for collection and processing of documents, saving of resources for purchase of stationery materials and printing, which is also substantial for environmental care. Moreover, the document loss is excluded due to the fact that the entire work became transparent to the greatest possible extent, and all actions are recorded in the system. Currently the employees of Alef Estate may exchange the packages of E-documents, to sign them and to adjust the routes of their flow
remotely. This is convenient and safe to the greatest possible extent, especially under the conditions of current pandemic.

Some difficulties with transformation to the electronic data interchange which the company encountered included, in particular, suspicion of some employees to new format of work and fear of unknown. So, the support service worked actively in the beginning; this service trained the employees and responded quickly to all issues arising. The company was able to implement the electronic data interchange with the help of the provider EDIN, as it connected to the service EDIN-DOCflow, solution for interchange of the group of electronic documents on the single flexible business-platform which is easily adapted to the individual business processes.

“Transformation of work flow into electronic format was extremely right and innovative decision. We needed 3-4 months for complete adaptation to new format. Surely, we had certain difficulties. However, we coped with them, and all employees may enjoy the advantages. Change is all around us and the world develops, and many companies will transform their documents to E-format soon. So, we are ready to share our experience and to show through our example how it works”, Anna Levchenko, the Alef Estate financial director said.
